Description
Royal Porcelain Manufactory of Sèvres. Deep plate on a foot, part of the ‘Service des Princes’ range, in white and gold porcelain. The bowl is stamped with the crowned royal monogram, encircled by laurel and oak branches. The rim features an ivy frieze. Marks on the reverse: SEVRES 1845 and Château de Trianon. Louis-Philippe period. Diameter 18 cm Commissioned between 1834 and 1846, the ‘Service des Princes’ was the everyday tableware used by the King and his entourage, distributed amongst the various Crown residences. Lot from a voluntary sale.
