Description
CHARLES. Lamp featuring a Medici vase and reeds, in gilded and silvered bronze with a double patina. The central stem is topped with a pine cone. Lampshade in silvered and gilded brass, with a border at both ends. Circa 1970. Height: 77.5 cm Founded in 1908 by Ernest Charles, the eponymous firm underwent a significant stylistic shift in the 1960s thanks to Jean and Jacques Charles, who made nature the source of inspiration for the range. Lot from a voluntary sale.
