DE BETHUNE REF. DB15WT No. 009 IN WHITE GOLD - From 2004 Reference No. DB15WT Serial No. 009 111-2004 Year: 2004 Material: 18K white gold Weight: 118g Dimensions: 42mm Calibre: Manual Crystal: Sapphire Strap: Leather with 18K buckle Accessories: Extract from the archives Introduced in 2004, the De Bethune DB15WT Perpetual Calendar marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of the independent manufacture, becoming the first model powered by a movement developed and produced entirely in-house. Fitted with the calibre DB2004, it embodied the brand’s commitment to combining technical innovation with refined watchmaking aesthetics. The DB15WT stands out for its elegant and highly legible perpetual calendar display, complemented by an astronomical moon phase indication of exceptional precision. This model also introduced De Bethune’s now-iconic spherical moon phase, a feature that would become one of the manufacture’s most recognisable hallmarks. The movement further showcased advanced technical solutions, including a lightweight titanium balance wheel designed to enhance chronometric performance. Its dial reflects the clean, contemporary design language that has come to define De Bethune, whilst the more compact case dimensions and distinctive early ogival lugs preserve the charm and character of the brand’s formative years. As such, the DB15WT is widely regarded as one of the most important early models in De Bethune’s history, representing the perfect synthesis of innovation, craftsmanship and timeless elegance.
