René LALIQUE (1860–1945). The ‘CLYTIE’ fountain spout. A rare and significant statuette crafted from moulded and pressed white glass, partly with a satin finish. The model was created on 29 April 1924, originally designed for the ‘Fontaine des Sources de France’ for the 1925 Paris Exhibition, and was removed from the 1937 catalogue. Unsigned. Dimensions: 72 cm.
