Description
FRENCH NOBILITY.
A set of two plaster coats of arms, round and
domed in shape, one of which is adorned with two alliance shields surmounted
by a knight’s helmet and a mantling, the first
one a quartered shield with three roses and two loops, and the second
depicting a shield divided into gold and azure, with three half-wings
positioned 2 and 1 on the azure section. The second coat of arms is adorned
with a quartered shield, with in the 1st quarter three six-pointed stars arranged 2
and 1, in the 2nd quarter a band representing the knight’s sash, in the
3 a Polish eagle with outspread wings and in the 4th a lion passant, the whole
surmounted by a knight’s helmet with a lambrequin and wings, as well as
a six-pointed star. Signs of age, but in good
overall condition. French work from the 20th century.
