ORDER OF THE LEGION OF HONOUR.
Certificate appointing Sieur Toussain Vigogne,
squadron commander in the 12th Dragoon Regiment, to the rank of officer
of the Order of the Legion of Honour, issued at the Élysée Palace,
on 27 April 1815, issued in the name of Emperor Napoleon I,
signed by ‘Carnot’, Minister of the Interior, Lazare Carnot
(1753–1823) and countersigned by the ‘Count de Lacépède’, Minister
of State, Grand Chancellor of the Legion of Honour, Bernard
de Laville-sur-Illon, Count de Lacépède (1756–1825). Document
printed and partly handwritten on paper, with a dry seal
bearing the grand imperial arms of the Ministry of the Interior.
