Description
ORDER OF CHARLES III OF SPAIN.
A signed autograph letter dated 19 March 1884, authorising
Prince Alfonso, Duke of Porto, to wear the collar of the Order of
Charles III, as stipulated in the decree signed on 9 January 1882,
text in Spanish, folio. Enclosed is a handwritten letter
signed by the Marquis Alfonso de Merry del Val y Zulueta
(1864–1943), Spanish Ambassador to London, dated
25 April 1921, addressed to the Duchess of Porto, 2 pages, folio
format, text in English, concerning the restoration of the Order of
Charles III. Also included is a laissez-passer issued in the name of the Duke
of Porto, signed by the Spanish Ambassador to Italy, dated
24 September 1917, 1 page, octavo format, text in Spanish,
preserved with its envelope. Good condition.
