née Stoody Hayes (1885–1941).
A collection of seventeen photographic portraits depicting
the wife of the Infante Alfonso of Braganza, Duke of Porto, at
various stages of her life, taken by the leading photographers
of the era, including Lafayette in London, Davis & Sanford in
New York, Swaine in London, Van Dyck and Otto Sarony in
New York, E. O. Hoppé, Bassano Ltd and Hay Wrightson in
London, etc. Period albumen and silver gelatin prints,
some of which are mounted on card with signatures and stamps of the
photographers. Some foxing, but in good overall condition.
