POMARDI Simone (1757–1830).
The Quirinale Palace – The Braschi Palace – The Fountain in Piazza
Navona – St Agnes.
Set of two fine watercolours on paper, signed ‘S.
Pomardi à Roma’ and identified at the bottom of each sheet,
preserved under glass in their original
carved and gilded wooden frames decorated with a frieze of palmettes. With
handwritten annotations on the reverse: ‘A. MP 1955’, for
Alexander (Prince of Yugoslavia) and Maria-Pia (Princess of
Savoy), and a label from the framer Matthiesen LTD in London.
Good condition, with some damage and losses to the frame.
