Comprising a large crystal inkwell decorated with
diamond-cut motifs, a penholder, two desk candlesticks,
a blotter, a notepad, a paper cup,
, a matchbox and a small rectangular trinket box.
Each piece rests on a block of
green Siberian onyx, set in a silver mount decorated with a
finely chiselled frieze of laurel leaves, palmettes,
rosettes and military insignia, and engraved with the intertwined initials
in Cyrillic script: A. L.
