Description
KOVCH - ASHTRAY.
By FABERGÉ, Saint Petersburg, 1908–1917.
Round and domed in shape, carved and polished from a single block of
nephrite, with a stylised silver motif applied to the handle. Preserved in its original case,
made of maple wood, with an ivory-coloured velvet and silk interior,
bearing a gold-lettered stamp: ‘Fabergé, Saint Petersburg,
Moscow, Odessa’. The silver border is missing; damage;
stains inside the case.
