VERMEIL KOVCH.
By the 2nd Artel, Moscow, 1908–1917.
Oval and domed in shape, decorated with broad gadroons on the
lower section, adorned with floral motifs in polychrome cloisonné enamels
on a background of alternating green and
blue enamels, and surmounted by a stylised frieze in polychrome cloisonné
engraved on a brown enamelled background, interior in vermeil. The
handle and front section are also adorned with a floral motif
in polychrome cloisonné enamels on a background of green enamel in
various shades. Art Nouveau-inspired work.
Slight signs of age, but in good overall condition.
Hallmark: 84, Moscow, 1908–1917.
