Description
IMPERIAL HOUSE OF RUSSIA.
Set of eight large silver-plated stemmed glasses,
with a vermeil interior, decorated with medallions featuring
historical scenes and coats of arms of the Imperial House of
Romanov in relief, some of which were created by Count
Fyodor Petrovich Tolstoy (1783–1873), commemorating the
tercentenary celebrations of the Romanovs (1613–1913). The base of each
leg is adorned with profiles bearing the effigies of Tsars Paul I, Alexander
I, Nicholas I, Alexander II and Tsarina Catherine II.
Signs of age, slight oxidation, sold as is.
Russian work from the early 20th century.
