FROSTED GLASS EGG.
By the Imperial Manufactory, Saint Petersburg, 1890–1900.
Ovoid in shape, decorated with a painted polychrome scene
depicting Christ, at whose feet an angel appears in
prayer; on the reverse are the initials in Cyrillic script X B
‘Christos Voskrese’ in gold lettering surrounded by flowering branches
. Preserved with its original pink silk ribbon
. Signs of age, some gilding missing, but in good overall condition.
