PAUL DEMIDOFF’S LIBRARY.
Set of two volumes by Maurice Paléologue, *Russia
under the Tsars during the Great War*, Librairie Plon, Paris. Volume
I (1921), 372 pp. and III (1922), 356 pp. Half-bound in blue calfskin,
with the double-headed eagle of the Russian Imperial House
decorating the centre of the cover, ribbed spine, title in
ornate gold lettering at the bottom with the initials of Prince P. D. beneath a
princely crown in gold lettering. One of the volumes bears an ex-libris on
paper featuring the coat of arms of Prince Demidoff, in-8°.
