German bayonet, Model 1871–84. Steel hilt with riveted wooden scales. The ring crossguard has been removed. Blade with a long fuller, marked on the heel ‘Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. Solingen’ and dated ‘0 96’ on the back. Leather scabbard with metal fittings, marked ‘B.2 J.4.217’. Good condition.
