Light cavalry sabre, Model 1822. Leather-covered hilt with watermark. Stamped brass mountings, three-pronged guard. Curved blade with ‘Châtellerault’ marked on the spine and dated May 1879, hollow-ground edges. Sheath made of sheet iron with two bands, stamped and numbered (rust to be cleaned off).
Leather sword strap.
