Cavalry officer’s sabre, varnished horn hilt with filigree. Brass mountings, four-pronged guard decorated with a laurel wreath, hallmarked ‘C. Barré fab à Paris’. Pommel adorned with a silver star (later addition; one missing). Double-edged lenticular blade with a fuller, signed ‘Klingenthal’. Sheath made of sheet iron with a single strap. Length: 104 cm. ABE. Late 19th century.
