Light cavalry sabre, Model 1822-99. Light-coloured horn hilt with filigree. Brass fittings, three-pronged guard (traces of soldering on one prong). Crossguard decorated with two silver general’s stars (added later). Curved blade with a flat back, engraved ‘Manufacture nationale d’armes de Châtellerault June 1926 OFFER D’ARTRIE MLE 1822-99’. Iron sheet scabbard (pinholes on one strap and one ring). Length: 109 cm.
