Brigadier-General’s sabre, fancy model. Horn hilt with double filigree. Brass mountings, shell-shaped guard and multiple ‘Derué’-style cross-guards adorned with two stars. Slender, straight blade with a flat back, made by Couleaux & Cie, Klingenthal. Nickel-plated iron sheath with a single band (slight oxidation). Length: 105 cm. BE. Circa 1900.
