Circle of Albrecht Bouts, an antique painting titled “Ecce Homo,” oil on panel. Circa 1580–1600. Antique painting titled “Ecce Homo” or “Behold the Man,” depicting, according to the Gospel of John, Pontius Pilate presenting Jesus Christ to the Jewish people. Oil on panel. Titled 'Ecce Homo' at the top and dated 1113 at the bottom. The panel has a later frame, mounted on top of the panel. Likely an addition from the 18th century or later. Attributed to the circle of Albrecht Bouts, with many similarities to the painting in the Museo del Prado, Madrid (inventory number P002672) As well as the painting considered the prototype for these works in the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon, inv.
