An Exceptional reliquary shrine, attributed to the Cistercian Abbey of Ter Doest, sculptured and patinated wood, Flanders, 17th century. Sculptured and patinated wood. Reliquary casket or monastic shrine. Decorated with plant motifs, traces of polychromy (red, green, and blue). Interior and bottom with red patina (probably red lead). Attributed to the Cistercian Abbey of Ter Doest, near Bruges. Flanders, early 17th century. (25 x 18 x 12.5 cm)
