Thierry Marie (active 1853–1885) ‘Chalice’, silver with pearls and enamel. 950/1000. 501g. A silver chalice, standing on a six-lobed base. The nodus is finished with small pearls, blue enamel and a faceted natural gemstone, probably a ruby. The base is decorated with a depiction of Christ on the cross. Marked with the maker’s mark for Thierry Marie, active in Paris between 1853 and 1885. Marked with Minerva, first grade. France, 1838–1973. Total gross weight: 501g. France, 19th century. (15.5 x 24.5 x 0 cm)
