Louis Guillat (act.1877-1878) A ciboria with Enamel Medallions and Cabochons. Gothic Revival, Lyon, France. Silver. 752g. A ciboria, standing on a six lobed base. Marked with Minerve, first grade 950/1000, France, period 1838-1973. Maker's mark: Louis Guillat (LG), Lyon, France (act. 1877-1878). The cuppa and lid are hallmarked as first-grade silver, 950/1000. The cuppa is hallmarked as second-grade silver, 800/1000. Finely decorated six-lobed foot, finished with enamel medallions of Christ with a sacred heart, the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph. Nodus finished with enamel and inscription 'Fides - Spes - Caritas'. Cuppa decorated with silver filigree work and with turquoise cabochons. The lid of the ciboria is finished with a cruficx, and decorated with the same filigree work andturquoise cabochons. Gothic Revival Style. Total gross weight: 752g. France, 19th century.
