Demarquet Frères, a chalice and vermeil paten, silver, Gothic Revival, France, circa 1900. Silver chalice, decorated with stylised grapevines and palmettes. Silver hallmarked: Fineness marked with the French Minerva, first fineness, 950/1000, France, period 1868–1973. Maker’s mark for Demarquet Frères, Rue du Temple, Paris, 1889–1939. The base has been tested for silver but is unmarked. Included is a matching gilt-silver paten (D: 12.4 cm). Total gross weight (Chalice + paten): 435g. (12 x 20 x 0 cm)
