WWII German gas mask in its early model fluted transport case, short with clasp lid, in 80% original "feldgau" green paint with traces of brown camouflage.
There is a small corrosion hole in the lid.
The mask is labelled with the "feldpost" number of the unit concerned.
The filter has an original paper strip indicating re-use in the German passive defence service.
The carrying straps are missing.
In good overall condition.
