Fireman's helmet in blackened sheet steel, known as a "fire cap", circa 1830. Complete with brass crest and chinstraps with leather linings (period) decorated with rosettes. Front brass attribute with grenade and crossed axes (with some missing). Leather interior missing.
Some wear marks. Minor dents to the bomb on the left and to the crest.
