From Blaizot in Versailles and from Valade and Deschamps in Paris, 1779 - A very interesting copy of this rare almanac here in a full red morocco binding of the period with the arms of the Prince of Montbarrey, triple gilt fillets decorating the boards, 5 ribbed spine and decorated boxes, slight defects to the corners, small tear to the first box. Alexandre Marie Eléonor de Saint-Mauris-Montbarrey, comte de Montbarrey then prince de Montbarrey et du Saint-Empire (1776), grand d'Espagne de première classe (1780), chevalier du Saint-Esprit, was secretary of state for war under Louis XVI at the time this copy was bound.
