[NATURAL HISTORY] Jean GOEDAERT - Natural history of insects according to their various metamorphoses By Adrien Moetens, The Hague, s.d. [ca. 1700] - First French edition, illustrated with a portrait, 3 frontispieces and 127 plates engraved after the drawings and entomological investigations of the Dutch painter Johannes Goedaert. A good copy in uniform period bindings, full calf with well-ornamented spine, red morocco title-piece and tomaison, slight rubbing and spotting, small tears to some jaws but not serious. Endpapers slightly damaged due to an old bookplate removed. In-12, (9ff.) 254pp; 270pp; 238pp.
