[ILLUSTRATED] Octave UZANNE - La nouvelle bibliopolis, voyage d'un novateur au pays des néo-icono-bibliomanes From Henry Floury, Paris, 1897 - A superb and perfectly preserved copy of this astonishing and elegant fin-de-siècle bibliophilic production, one of 500 numbered copies on satin-finished vellum, charming period binding signed Champs-Stroobants in green half-maroquin with corners, 5-ribbed spine and boxes decorated with mosaic open books, gilt head. The illustrations include an etched frontispiece by H. Manesse after Félicien Rops and numerous in- and out-of-text lithographs by H. P. Dillon. The margins of the book have been decorated with coloured lithographs by this artist. Its pink cover is illustrated with an Art Nouveau drawing by Henri Thiriet printed in black and gold: this cover has been kept folded out to preserve the beauty of the motif. In-12, xx ; 254pp (1pp.)
