Description
FRENCH INDOCHINA Single-sided polychrome proof, ‘Entrance to the South Gate of Angkor Thom’ type, used as a detail on the ‘blue’ type 100 piastres banknote, US print. Undated (1941?). See p.78 – K.183–184. A rare proof of which we know of only one other copy! Printed on fine paper, measuring 127 x 102 mm. The design depicts the entrance to the South Gate of the royal city of Angkor Thom, in Cambodia. MINT.
