MG.- - Fécamp 8544-8551 - BSFN 1973, p. 326; Silver – 1.17 g – 21.5 mm – 12 h The design of this denier, featuring the Alpha and Omega separated by two lines, is known only from the Fécamp Hoard, from which this specimen probably originates. The reverse inscription, ENMAPEOINA, is thought to be a corrupted form of EMMA REGINA (Emma of Italy, wife of Lothair II). Traces of scraping on the obverse, and a few spots of verdigris.
