Description
FRANCE - FRANCE Charles X (1824–1830). Wax model of the reverse of a medal, depicting a journey through the northern departments, by Depaulis, 1827, Paris. cf. Collignon 529; Wax – frame: 346 x 346 mm – wax: 180 mm From the collection of the antiquarian Alain Finard (1943–2024). Modelled in red wax on a blue glass plate, edged in brass against a green imitation leather background, all set in a gilded frame. The head of Charles X and parts of the exergue are missing. Some damage to the frame. A superb artefact.
