Third Republic (1870–1940). Medal, City of Toulon, undated, Paris (Arthus-Bertrand).
Bronze – 62.22 g – 50.5 mm – 12 h
Hallmark (AB & Cie triangle) BRONZE on the edge. Superb condition.
On the reverse, a monumental Baroque portico, Pierre Puget’s first major work, completed in 1656–1657. Spared by the bombing raids of 1944, it is now incorporated into the modern façade of the town hall [Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine, MOU.00787]
