FRANCE - FRANCE MEDALS - France, Third Republic (1870–1940). Medal commemorating Charles Lindbergh’s New York–Paris flight, by G. Prud’homme, 1927, Paris. MdP.M.893; Bronze – 140.43 g – 68 mm – 12 h BRONZE hallmark on the edge. Superb condition. The inscription on the reverse, drafted by the Académie des Inscriptions et des Belles-Lettres, reads: “To him who, for the first time, with a single flap of his wings, united the shores of the Ocean”
