ITALY MEDALS – Various themes. Plaque, Venice and the painter Félix Ziem, by A. Motti, no. 46, 1911, Paris (published by Sandoz). Silver-plated bronze – 126.34 g – 68 mm – 12 h BRONZE hallmark (triangle) and 46 on the edge. Specimen previously cleaned. Superb. Plaque numbered 46 on the edge, issued in homage to the painter Félix Ziem. Italy, and particularly Venice, became the main source of inspiration for his work from 1842 onwards, as shown on the reverse of this plaque
