IRAN - IRAN Nassereddine Shah (1848–1896). Medal commemorating the Shah of Persia’s visit to Paris in 1873, Paris. Brass – 22.5 mm – 12 h Top Pop: this is the only graded specimen! PCGS MS64 (56277869). Superb. On Saturday 19 April 1873, Nasser-al-Din Shah Qajar (also transcribed as Nassereddin Shah, Nassiruddin Shah or Nasir al-Dîn), who had reigned over Persia for twenty-five years, left Tehran for Europe, where he was to be officially received in eight countries (Russia, Germany, Belgium, England, France, Switzerland, Italy and Austria) As the first Persian monarch to visit Europe, he recounts his long journey himself in an account published as a serial in the Official Journal of Iran * Country of origin under embargo; delivery to the United States is not possible. * Country of origin under embargo; delivery to the United States is not possible.
