FRANCE - FRANCE Louis-Philippe I (1830-1848). Medal, Visit of the Duke and Duchess of Nemours, Prince Ferdinand and Prince Auguste of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to the Mint, by Barre on 21 May 1840, Paris. TT p.405; Bronze - 62.81 g - 51.5 mm - 12 h Only 40 struck. Dents on the obverse listel. Almost superb. This was a private family visit: Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, Duke from 1826 to 1851, was accompanied by his son Prince Auguste, his daughter Princess Victoire, Duchess of Nemours and her son-in-law Louis d'Orléans, Duke of Nemours (son of Louis-Philippe).
