SOMALIA - SOMALIA Somali Republic (1960-1969). Series of proofs of 500 [obverse] and 200, 100, 50 and 20 [reverse] shillings 1966 NI. KM ; Aluminium gilt - 7.44 g - 4.53 g - 1.64 g - 1.18 g - 0.67 g - 49.5 - 37.5 - 27.5 - 24 - 17.5 mm - 12 h Incised strikes in gilded aluminium, obverse for the 500 shillings, reverse for the other denominations. Extracts from a plastic presentation page with the French wording "SHILLINGS SOMALIS". Single-sided tests in gilt bronze are known for this series, but not in aluminium. A scratch on the back of the 50 shillings. Superb.
