Traces of creases, irregular edges, framed.
Note:
Bencovich’s drawings are rare, and this previously unpublished work clearly displays the bold accents of black chalk contrasted with highlights of white chalk that characterise his drawings, as catalogued by his biographer G. Crosilla, who dates this type of drawing to around 1720.
