After Guillaume Ier COUSTOU (1677–1746) "Horse held by a groom" or "Horse of Marly" Pair of bronze sculptures with a brown patina. Substantial rectangular bases in blue marble. 19th century. Height: 28 cm (excluding base). Width: 22 cm (excluding base). Note & comparable works: Created in 1745 by Coustou for the Château de Marly, these sculptures are housed in the Louvre Museum, with replicas over three metres tall on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées.
