Description
A ‘drum-shaped’ coffee table made of wood and featuring openwork cube-shaped inlays in satinwood, amaranth and stained wood. It opens via a wide hinged panel at the base and features a top rimmed with gilded brass at the top. The bevelled legs, decorated with green wood marquetry, are finished with three curved feet adorned with bronze clogs and joined by a circular crossbar with an openwork brass gallery. Trace of an unidentified mark Louis XV–Louis XVI transitional period. Height: 74.5 cm Diameter: 35.5 cm Routine restoration, repair to one leg.
