Georges JACOB (1739–1814), admitted as a master craftsman in Paris on 4 September 1765.
A pair of armchairs with flat backs, made of moulded, carved and stained wood, featuring decorative motifs on the back, the side panels and a band of ribbon-like friezes.
The armrests, set back slightly, support upholstered cuffs finished with scrolls.
Decorated with small flowers and connecting blocks, extended by four tapered, fluted legs.
One stamped.
Louis XVI period.
Beautiful upholstery in satin fabric with a design of flowering branches and pomegranates.
