COMMEMORATIVE SILVER CUP.
TO MARK THE BIRTH OF THE ROYAL PRINCESS.
Round in shape, resting on a pedestal base, decorated
with a series of six silver pieces of varying sizes bearing
the effigies of Kings Louis XIII, Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis
XVI alternating with fleurs-de-lis, surmounted by the engraved inscription
‘A de Fouchécourt, 1782’ and adorned in the centre with a
commemorative silver piece marking the birth of
Madame Royale, Princess Marie-Thérèse Charlotte, on 19
December 1778, signed by Pierre-Simon Duvivier (1730–1819).
Slight signs of age, but in good overall condition.
French work from the late 18th century.
