FRENCH SCHOOL OF THE EARLY 19TH CENTURY. The Mysterious Urn. A seditious engraving depicting a funerary urn placed beneath two weeping willows concealing the profiles of King Louis XVI, Queen Marie-Antoinette, the Dauphin and Madame Royale, preserved under glass in a gilded wooden frame . Pre-print proof, blank cartouche at the bottom of the document. Slight foxing, but in good overall condition. Dimensions: H: 12 cm - W: 9.5 cm. Frame: H: 28 cm - W: 22 cm.
