COFFEE CUP.
Clignancourt Manufactory, late 18th century.
Porcelain, in a ‘litron’ shape, decorated with a medallion in
the form of a cameo, depicting the profile of a man wearing a
Caesar and a woman against a lapis lazuli-style background,
surrounded by a twisted gold frieze. The rim is adorned
with a frieze of gold leaves on a gold background. Preserved with its
saucer. Slight wear to the gilding, but in good overall condition.
Red stamped mark.
