Description
PAIR OF HARD-PORCELAIN PLATES.
Manufacture of the Duke of Angoulême, Paris, c. 1798.
Round in shape, with a scalloped rim, enhanced by a
gold fillet, with a central decoration of a scattering of barbel and
gilded leaves; the rim is adorned with a broad frieze of garlands of
barbel. Included is a small porcelain bowl,
with the same decoration, and a stained wooden handle. Red stamp mark:
Manufacture de Mgr le Duc d’Angoulême à Paris.
