future Count of Chambord (1820–1883).
Gilded bronze medal, signed F. Gayrard, a
commemorative souvenir of the birth of the Duke of Bordeaux,
depicting the Archangel Saint Michael slaying the devil
surrounded by the inscription ‘29 September 1820’, preserved under
a domed glass pane within a circular gilt-bronze frame
decorated with an engraved frieze of palmettes and surmounted by a
suspension ring. Good condition.
