THE FUNERAL OF THE COUNT OF CHAMBORD.
A set of four large vintage photographs,
depicting the funeral procession of the Count of Chambord,
making its way to the cathedral on 3 September 1883. Also included is
a set of four large photographs signed H. Niggl in
Goritz, depicting the entrance to the royal family vault, the
interior view of the royal family vault, featuring the
tombs of King Charles X, the Count of Chambord, the Duke of
and the Duchess of Angoulême, and an exterior view of the
Franciscan Church; and a set of six large antique photographs
depicting views of the town and the surroundings of
Gortiz, including, amongst others: the Church of Saint Ignatius, a view of the
castle, a general view of the town, etc. Vintage albumen prints
mounted on cardboard, dating from 1883. Foxing,
slightly sun-faded.
