PRINCESS LOUISE D’ARTOIS (1819–1864).
Court Calendar for the year 1827, printed for the
Royal Family and the House of His Majesty, published in Paris by
Le Doux-Hérissant, in-18° (110x60 mm), beautiful contemporary binding
in long-grain red morocco, bound with the princess’s
gilded coat of arms in the centre of each cover, framed by a
gilded frieze of fleurs-de-lis, smooth spine decorated with gold motifs, gilded edges,
green paper flyleaf. Corners slightly
dented, minor damage to the spine, but in good overall condition.
History: the last Court Calendar of the Restoration period, prior to the
Revolution of 1830.
